MATCHUP helps you find teammates, but it cannot verify every person, venue, or activity. Use your own judgment and make a plan that helps you feel safe before meeting.
Before the game
- Check the profile, game description, venue, time, skill level, and equipment. Ask questions in chat if anything is unclear.
- Choose a public, suitable, and well-lit place for a first meeting. Tell a friend where you are going, with whom, and when you expect to return.
- Agree on rules, venue costs, weather plans, and cancellation arrangements.
- Do not send money or sensitive information to someone you do not trust.
During the meetup
- If you feel uncomfortable, you can leave at any time. You do not need to explain or continue.
- Consider your health and limitations, warm up, use appropriate protective equipment, and follow venue guidance.
- Do not use alcohol or other substances in a way that puts you or others at risk.
Reports, blocks, and emergencies
Report inappropriate behavior using Report; you can also block the user. If you feel threatened, move somewhere safe and call 112 or another appropriate local emergency number.
MATCHUP is not an emergency service, does not track live location, and cannot guarantee an intervention. In an emergency, always contact the competent emergency services first.
