Terms of Use

Effective: 22 August 2026 · Last updated: 22 August 2026

MATCHUP is a social platform for finding teammates and arranging sports games. These terms explain how to use the platform and what you are responsible for when interacting with other users.

1. What MATCHUP is

MATCHUP connects users so they can create, discover, and arrange recreational sports activities. MATCHUP does not normally organize, supervise, run, or guarantee user-created activities. Organizers and participants decide the details of a game, arrange how it will take place, and take responsibility for their own decisions.

MATCHUP is not a sports club, event organizer, coach, healthcare provider, or emergency service. We do not guarantee that a game, venue, participant, or activity will be suitable, available, safe, or completed.

2. Eligibility and accounts

MATCHUP is for people aged 18 and over. You must provide accurate information, keep your account access secure, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. Use one account for yourself only.

Use the account lawfully and in line with these terms, our Community Guidelines, and our Safety guidance.

3. Games, profiles, and messages

Users can publish a profile, selected sports and skill levels, city, games, join requests, and messages needed to arrange an activity. You are responsible for anything you publish or send. Do not publish another person's personal information without permission.

Before joining a game, check the details, venue, time, equipment, and your own readiness. Organizers can accept or decline a join request.

4. Your responsibilities

  • act respectfully, honestly, and in accordance with the law and venue rules;
  • do not create fake profiles, mislead people, or use MATCHUP for spam or unwanted advertising;
  • do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, extort, or control other users;
  • do not publish unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or dangerous content;
  • do not bypass security, access another person's account, or disrupt the platform;
  • if you cannot attend, tell the other participants in good time and avoid creating unnecessary risk.

5. Safety and risk

Sports and meetings with people you do not know can involve risk. Decide whether an activity is right for you, consider your health and fitness, and follow qualified professional guidance where appropriate. Plan a first meeting in a public, suitable place and share no more personal information than necessary.

In an emergency, call your local emergency services. MATCHUP is not an emergency service and does not monitor meetings in real time.

6. Moderation and ending use

You can report content or a user and block a user. To protect the community, MATCHUP may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or close an account, especially where these terms, the Community Guidelines, or the law are breached.

If you believe an action was incorrect, use the contact shown on the Contact page. We may retain information needed for safety, disputes, or legal obligations.

7. Availability and liability

We provide the platform with reasonable care, but we do not promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that user content will be accurate. We are not responsible for user conduct, user-created games, venues, injuries, or loss arising from an activity, except where applicable law does not allow that responsibility to be excluded.

Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights or liability that cannot be limited under Slovenian or EU law.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the platform or law changes. The current version and update date will always be shown here. For significant changes, we will use a reasonable notice method.

The service controller and contact details are published on the Contact page. This document is not legal advice.
